Tasting Room: Vaulted card / Card on File charging

With Shopify Point of Sale you can now charge members' card on file using Awtomic's card on file extension!

In order to enable it, go to Shopify -> Sales Channels -> POS -> Settings -> Apps and then enable the Awtomic extensions. Once you've done this, they will show up as tiles on your POS home screen.

Any club member has the capability to have their credit card billed for orders outside of the club via POS and admin. We call this the vaulted card or "card on file" functionality.

To use this via POS, you must have already enabled the Awtomic extensions mentioned above. Then, you can add a customer to the Shopify POS cart, add the products you'd like to bill them for, note that Awtomic will automatically add the membership discount if you have one defined. When you're ready to charge the customer, you can press the "card on file" extension. There, you can select which payment method you'd like to charge if there are multiple stored for the customer. Then you'll see that all of the cart items and discounts have been pulled in. You can review them and apply any additional discounts if needed before confirming the purchase. You will see the confirmation that the order has been created and no further action is needed.

Note that if you add discount codes to the order within the extension you may not see that reflected in the price, but they will be applied and the order amount that is billed will be discounted.
