Emails and Notifications
Welcome members to the club, notify them about upcoming shipments and more
Awtomic has built-in emails and SMS, and also integrations with major email providers like Klaviyo. We also tag customers in Shopify with important information, such as their club/membership level and their active/cancelled status so that you can easily segment customers and send campaigns via software like Mailchimp, Klaivyo or anything that integrates with Shopify.
Our transactional emails (whether you use our in-app ones or replace them with an external service) all contain a secure link that takes customers directly to their customer portal where they can manage their clubs - whether it's customizing the club contents or updating payment information or shipping addresses, they can do it all there frictionlessly, without having to login or enter a code.
Here are some of the transactional emails that Awtomic sends:
- New Club Signup - when someone first signs up for the club
- Upcoming Order - you can define the timing of this trigger before the club shipment (EG: 14 days before, or 7 days before) and this email will notify the customer about what is currently in their order, with the secure link to go update
- Failed Payment - when a customer's credit card fails, there is an automatic follow up schedule with 5 retries where each one will trigger an email. This schedule can be edited - both the timing and the number of attempts
- Club Updates - there is an email that can be sent to confirm updates after customers make edits to their clubs
- Status changes - customers get a confirmation email if they pause, cancel or reactivate their clubs
Each of these emails can be turned on or off, with the exception of the upcoming order email, which is required by law in many states. This email can be turned off if it is being replaced by an email flow in another app, like Klaviyo.
For campaigns, here are a few of the tags that will be added that you can use to target and segment customers:
- Subscription Active: will exist if the customer currently has at least one active club
- Subscription Cancelled: will exist if the customer has no active or paused clubs, but only canceled
- Subscription Paused: will exist of the customer has no active, but at least one paused club
- Club Name and size: can be configured in the Membership settings (described in the Club and Membership: discounts and tags section)
- Gift tags: "Gift" "Gift Recipient" "Gift Active" and "Gift Expired" help you segment customers who were gifted a club and get t the granularity of if the club is still active or if it has already completed it's shipments
