Tasting Room: Point of Sale Club Signup
Sign customers up for your club with ease from the tasting room Point of Sale
With Shopify Point of Sale you can now sign up new club members using Awtomic's Sign up extension!
In order to enable it, go to Shopify -> Sales Channels -> POS -> Settings -> Apps and then enable the Awtomic extensions. Once you've done this, they will show up as tiles on your POS home screen.
To sign up a new club member, you can press the sign up tile.
On the first screen, you can choose to toggle between individual products and clubs using the bundle tab at the top. Press the bundles tab to see your clubs. Choose the club the customer would like to sign up for, and then select the number of bottles and specific bottle selection. Press add to cart to proceed. Once you've added to cart, you can continue to the next step.
On the next step, you'll be able to select the frequency option if there are multiple. If there is one, you'll just see that one selected and can continue.
Next, you'll either select an existing customer, or create a new one by typing in the customer's name and email. When you continue, you'll be given the option to make the club a shipped club or pickup. For pickup clubs, you can choose the tasting room location. For shipping clubs you'll type in the customer's shipping address.
Finally, you'll either select or add a payment method. If the customer has one stored already you can pick that, otherwise you'll key in the credit card numbers.
On the final confirmation screen, you'll confirm the data and also be given the options to:
1.) Create an order or set the next order date. If you choose not to create an order with this sign up, you'll be given a date picker to select when the customer should be billed for their first order.
2.) Edit the delivery rate if necessary
3.) Ask the customer to confirm the information and consent to the purchase by turning on the toggle.
Club discounts will be automatically applied.
Once you submit the final confirmation, the system will create an order if you had that setting enabled, and either way will create the subscription record and save the customer's payment token. You will see a confirmation of this being completed. Once it's completed, that customer's subscription will have a customer portal and can also be accessed in the subscription list in the Awtomic app.
Orders created through this flow will get tagged with "POS."
